Are you considering relocating your charger? Whether it’s to protect it during the winter in your garage or to take it with you on a trip or to the cottage, we have the perfect solution.
Move your charger with ease!
All our chargers of 40 amps and less can be moved. You just need to use a portable charger of the NEMA 14-50 type (stove outlet). All chargers available in our online store can be installed with a NEMA 14-50 outlet, provided they have a capacity of 40 amps or less.
Each charger you’ll find on our online store comes with a wall mount and a receptacle for hanging the charging gun. However, we recommend that anyone wishing to move their charger to obtain a second wall mount and a second receptacle. This way, you can easily move the charger from one location to another in no time! Find all the necessary accessories in our dedicated section on our online store.
Simplified installation
If you want to install two NEMA 14-50 outlets, there’s no need for a “complete double installation.” Our partner master electricians can perform what’s called a “split of the electrical line.” This means that only one line will come from the electrical panel but will be split to allow for two outlets, giving you the option to plug in two chargers.
Foreseeing the future for a second EV in charge sharing
This installation isn’t just convenient for those who move their charger; it’s also ideal for anticipating the purchase of a second electric vehicle. Whether it’s due to limited electrical capacity or simply for savings, installing two chargers on the same electrical line is becoming increasingly popular among electromobilists.
For this, you’ll need to practice what’s called “load sharing.” This technique allows you to share the available power between the two chargers when both are used simultaneously. Our smart chargers facilitate this functionality, and all chargers available on our online store offer smart versions.
